:: Testreport from Frederik Veenstra
AP 125
I tested the boards, allong with my friend, the whole week now.
I have got to say , the 125 kick ass!!!!
The 125 is realy good. What sruck me first was the smoothness of the waterspray of the board. The board is realy easy to edge, even when the wind picks up, the board is realy controlable. It doesn`t realy feel that your standing on a short 125 board. Normally when you ride a board this short, in choppy water, you get a lot off spray from the front of the board in your face. With the 125 AP kiteboard its no problem at all, the board just flys over the water and the chop.
For agresive rideing the board realy comes to its right, its got an enourmes pop, so for new school tricks the board is great. This board likes to be ridden fast, and that is what i did!!! The release from the water is realy smooth as well as the landings. due to the concave bottum the boards get going realy soon even with 10 knots it is enough to cruis upwind with the 125. Upwind rideing is no problem at all.
The fins off the 125 have to be totally on the tips, thats the best position on this board. I tried different fins, i don`t think that the directional fins you use are the best on this board. Because theboard is extreemly concave, switching from heel- to toeside is already a bit heavy. With directional fins this is even getting harder.
